Judge says Niskayuna Girl Scout can subpoena Twitter in defamation battle

A Girl Scout from Niskayuna has won an early victory in her battle against Twitter.
Caroline McGraw claims she was defamed by someone who was using an anonymous Twitter account.
McGraw went to New York State Supreme Court last week, trying to learn that person’s identity, so she could pursue legal action.
According to her lawyer, the judge says McGraw can subpoena the social media platform for the name, phone number and email address of the person who disparaged her online.
