Latham woman accused of stealing thousands from Menands employer

A Latham woman is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from her employer.
Police arrested 35-year-old Kacie Sweeney. They say she worked at Gerome Technologies as the payroll manager since November 2019.
Police started investigating after the company reported a possible embezzlement. Investigators found Sweeney stole more than $84,000 while she was working there.
She’s due back in court on Oct. 26.
