BOSSIER CITY, La. – What started as an idea to help local students afford Christmas gifts for their family and loved ones, has grown into a community-wide charitable shopping event at a Louisiana high school.
Bossier High School opened its Christmas store this week for the 10th year.
High school students line up and look through a room full of items.
The library is filled with potential gifts – from toys to clothing, games, tool sets and much more.
Students shop and pick out gifts for themselves or for their families, free of charge.
The school served a lower-income area of the city, so this can go a long way for some families.
