Construction is now underway to upgrade two key intersections in Albany and Schenectady counties.

The DOT announced details of a $5.4 million project to reconstruct and upgrade parts of Route 146.

The project is set to improve traffic flow and ease congestion.

Single-lane roundabouts are being built at the intersections with Lydius Street in Guilderland and the I-890 State Thruway interchange in Rotterdam.

New sidewalks will be also installed.

Major construction is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
