Man accused of stealing cards, cash from Saratoga County cars for spending spree

A man is arrested in Saratoga County, accused of breaking into cars, then going on spending sprees with stolen cards and cash.

Robert Porter of Ithaca is charged with grand larceny, identity theft, and criminal impersonation.

State police tell NewsChannel 13 Porter broke into cars in Gansevoort, and stole multiple credit cards, and over $300 in cash. They say he then bought $7,000 worth of items on the cards.

He was spotted by troopers while sitting on a picnic table outside a Stewart’s in Moreau and arrested.
