Man charged with attempted murder in stabbing of Albany cop

ALBANY – A man is charged with attempted murder, after police say he stabbed a police officer.
The incident involving 54-year-old Eric Frazier is caught on police body cam video.
Officers responded to a home on Franklin Street for reports of a domestic violence.
The officers try to reason with the man after they tell him he has to come down to the police station for an outstanding warrant.
Police say he pulled a knife out of his pocket, and tries to stab the officers. One of the officers was stabbed.

Another Albany police officer at the scene shot him, hitting Frazier in the upper right chest.
Both Frazier and the injured officer were transported to Albany Med for treatment. Their injuries are non-life threatening.
