Man killed in Schenectady on his 21st birthday

Police in Schenectady are investigating a shooting that killed a man on his birthday.
There was a report that a man had been shot around 11:30 p.m. Monday night and was laying on the ground near 800 State St. By the time police arrived, someone had already taken the victim to Ellis Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police identified him as Treavine Tate of the Bronx. He was shot on his 21st birthday.
Police say the shooting happened on Hulett Street, between State and Albany streets.
