Man sentenced for causing deadly Saratoga County crash on purpose

Dylan Vella was sentenced to 20 years to life behind bars.
Vella faced a variety of charges, including murder, assault and sexual abuse.
The judge says that last charge comes from when he went to a park before running over the motorcyclists, with the intent to rape two women.
The District Attorney’s Office said Vella did sexually abuse one of the woman at the picnic area of Stewart’s Pond.
He pleaded guilty to murder unexpectedly back in November.
Vella showed emotion while the judge was handing down his sentence and apologized.
He must also register as a sex offender.
The judge said this was Vella’s first run-in with the law.
