The 35-year-old victim was found dead inside his home. The house is on Miller Road inside a new development.

Deputies are processing the residence and searching for a possible weapon in the area.

New York State Police’s Forensic Unit was there earlier, checking the pond.

Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple says on Wednesday around 1 p.m., they received a call to do a welfare check at a home on Miller Road. When deputies arrived, they found a man inside who was unconscious on the floor.

Sheriff Apple says the man lived inside with his wife. Apple says the wife is okay.

Sheriff Apple couldn’t release much information, but he says the incident is actively under investigation. He hopes to be able to release more information within the next few days.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.

Investigators are working with the district attorney’s office and the state police forensic unit. They believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public.
