Saturday marks the first day of 2022 and swearing-in ceremonies are happening across the Capital Region for elected officials. However, with an increase in COVID-19 cases across the area, many ceremonies are being limited.

In Glens Falls, Mayor-elect Bill Collins has limited attendance for Saturday’s ceremony. NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Post-Star report only the mayor and common council members being sworn in, along with their families, can attend in-person. A live stream will be available here.

In Saratoga Springs, Mayor-elect Ron Kim and council members will host a private ceremony, instead of the typical large gathering. That ceremony will also be live streamed here.
