McCoy: 70 new positive COVID-19 cases in Albany County

There are 70 new cases of the coronavirus in Albany County since Saturday, according to an update from Albany County Executive Dan McCoy. The county’s five-day average of new daily positive cases is now up to 84.6.

There were five new hospitalizations for a total of 27 and two patients in the ICU. A total of 10 county residents are currently in the hospital for COVID-19.

There are no new deaths in the county. The Albany County death toll stands at 388.

In Albany County, 67.8% of the population has received at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, and 62.7% has been fully vaccinated.
