What will this resignation mean for Gov. Cuomo political legacy? We spoke to former Assemblyman and Albany historian Jack McEneny to get his perspective.
He says he’s heard from many people who reminded him of all the governor has accomplished in office.
However, McEneny says these allegations were egregious and indefensible.
"In politics, you’re only as good as your last mistake. The real pain that comes from that is now whether you’re Bill Clinton, or whether you’re Andrew Cuomo, what’s the first thing they think of, and all of those accomplishments – and we can name accomplishments with no objection about it, they become very secondary."
