The Mental Health Association in New York State is getting $1 million to hold youth mental health first aid training for adults who regularly interact with young people.

That includes healthcare providers, teachers, clergy, parents and first responders.

The trainings will help adults who interact with young people and help them spot the warning signs of behavioral health issues so that kids can get the support that they need.
