Minimum wage in Capital Region, most of NYS to rise to $13.20

New York state is continuing with its plan to raise its minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Come Dec. 31, the minimum wage will go up to $13.20 an hour.

The current minimum wage is $12.50 an hour.

Future increases that will eventually reach $15 an hour will be determined by the Division of Budget at the Department of Labor.
