COVID is sidelining the Adirondack Thunder ice hockey team in Glens Falls for now.

The team was supposed to play the Newfoundland Growlers in a three game home series this weekend. However, the Thunder says symptomatic players, coaches, trainers, and front office members all tested positive for COVID.

The Thunder returned to the ice back in October, after 19 months off due to the pandemic.

They’re hoping to make up the games, and release info to ticket holders in the coming days.

The team’s next home game will be against Newfoundland at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Road games against Trois-Rivières on December 27 and Reading on December 29 are still on.
