Multiple people are displaced after Troy fire

The Troy Fire Department is investigating a House Fire. The call came in shortly after 10 p.m. Friday at 55 6th avenue. According to Troy Fire Chief Eric McMahon, the fire spread to the house next door.

He says there was heavy damage to the building where the fire originated. McMahon says crews had the fire under control within an hour. He estimates that at least 10 people have been displaced. He says no civilians or firefighters were injured.

One pet did die in the fire. Neighbors near the scene saw heavy flames. Approximately 27 firefighters responded to the call. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
