MyPayrollHR CEO begins prison sentence

Convicted fraudster Michael Mann woke up behind bars Wednesday. He surrendered himself to authorities the day before.
He is at Fort Dix — a low security federal correctional prison in New Jersey.
Mann was responsible for the MyPayrollHR scandal. His $100 million bank fraud scheme impacted thousands of businesses and people across the country, including right here in the Capital Region.
Mann was sentenced last month to 12 years in prison on federal charges and eight to 24 years on state charges.
