New Ellis Hospital parking garage will have 1,050 spots

SCHENECTADY – Ellis Hospital in Schenectady will soon be getting a new parking garage.
Chief Financial Officer Marc Mesick made the announcement Friday.
The new garage will replace the current 740-spot parking garage.
The new facility will have 1,050 parking spots, with improved access for patients.
$1 million has been secured from the state for the project.
Speaker Carl Heastie came to the event and said they were going donate an additional $1 million for the project. The project is expected to support hundreds of construction jobs.
