New York has 20 confirmed cases of the Omicron variant.

Gov. Kathy Hochul says most of those cases have been reported in New York City, but others have been found in Broome, Oneida, Suffolk and Westchester counties.

The first case of the new variant was reported in the state last Thursday. Hochul says the cases have come from community spread and not because of travel.
