NXIVM leader ordered to pay nearly $3.5 million to his victims

A federal judge has ordered NXIVM leader Keith Raniere to pay nearly $3.5 million in restitution to his victims.
The judge in federal court in Brooklyn ordered Raniere to pay the money back to the victims who lost their life savings to the sex cult group, which originated in the Halfmoon and Colonie area.
Raniere appeared virtually for the hearing.
He is serving 120 years in prison for sex trafficking, racketeering, wire fraud and child pornography.
