NY state COVID positivity rates drop to new record lows

Gov. Cuomo said Thursday the COVID-19 positivity rates in New York state are at record lows.

Cuomo says the statewide daily positivity rate is 0.44%. The 7-day average is 0.60%.

There are 970 people hospitalized. It’s the first time hospitalizations are below 1,000 people since October 21.

Sadly, another 10 people died.

The 7-day positivity rate in the Capital Region dropped from 0.78% on Tuesday to 0.75% on Wednesday.

The 7-day positivity rate in the Mohawk Valley dropped from 0.83% on Tuesday to 0.79% on Wednesday.
