When a New York mother learned her 13-year-old daughter had a life-threatening blood disorder, she did what any mother would do – looked for a miracle.

That miracle came in the form of a woman from Minnesota and the "Be The Match" organization.

Gwen Cinquemani, 16, recently met the life-saving stranger at a gala for the non-profit.

Gwen is cured now, but three years ago she was diagnosed with a rare pre-cancerous blood disorder known as MDS.

At 13 years old, her life was on the line.

She’s a triplet, but both her brothers were tested, and they weren’t a match. That meant they had to turn to the registry.

That’s when Haven Davis stepped in, who was a complete stranger from Minnesota. Turned out she was a match.

Learn about how Be the Match got Davis’ bone marrow all the way from Minnesota to New York to save Gwen’s life and how you can help someone by watching the video.
