NYRA increases purse for Saratoga racing season

The New York Racing Association is looking ahead to its summer season at Saratoga Race Course.
NYRA announced Tuesday it is increasing the payouts for winning horsemen at the track.
Stakes races that typically carry purses of $100,000 will pay out $120,000 this year.
Purses for maiden races will get a $10,000 boost.
Wagering drives the purses and NYRA says betting is way up so far this year.
