SCHUYLERVILLE – There’s a new way to spend a night or a weekend along the water in Saratoga County. They’re shipping containers that serve as a mini hotel on the Hudson.

They include recessed lighting, tongue and groove ceiling, a queen size bed, kitchenette, a full bathroom.

The deck overlooks the water and has chairs to relax.

The counters and cabinets, like the containers themselves, are repurposed-wood from local sources.

The container cabins are the latest offering at the Schuyler Yacht Basin where Fish Creek meets the Hudson.

"Our first stays were a lot of one nighters, kind of the curiosity, coming in, checking it out and then so far in every review, ‘We will be back, we’re going to tell all our friends and we want to come back and rent four of them, all four for the weekend,’" said Chip Lawrence with Schuyler Yacht Basin.
