ALBANY – After being closed to the public for more than a year, the Palace Theatre is welcoming back guests for in-person events.
More than $2 million in federal funding from the "Save Our Stages Act" is helping the theater move forward.
This is big news after the theater hasn’t been able to have events for more than a year now.
The theater has been closed for a year and a half, and they just started welcoming people back with a Pride Week event.
Daniel Taylor, the theater’s general manager, says the funding the theater is getting is a major boost to help the show go on!
While the theater hasn’t received any of the money yet, they say it will be an incredible help when it comes to getting back to normal and covering the cost of everyday upkeep.
Learn about how they’re gearing up for evolving capacity limits by watching the video of Sam Hesler’s story.
