Parole reform advocates rally at state Capitol
ALBANY – Crime survivors and victims’ rights advocates continue to push for parole changes.
They rallied Monday morning at the New York State Capitol.
Participants say they want lawmakers to pass bills related to fair and timely parole, along with elder parole.
That would give incarcerated people 55 and older, who have served 15 years in prison, a chance to go before the parole board.
This is the final week of legislative session.
