Parolee charged with attempted murder after Albany shooting

ALBANY – A parolee is charged with attempted murder in Albany.
Police say 30-year-old Eugene Royal shot a man in the face on Feb. 5 on Albany Street near Broadway.
The 20-year-old victim walked into Albany Memorial Hospital. He was later transferred to Albany Medical Center and survived.
Royal is also facing a weapons possession charge.
