SCHENECTADY – Giving people with disabilities meaningful work is the objective of a collaboration between engineering students at Union College and Pine Ridge Industries, which is part of Schenectady ARC.

They’ve been working together on several projects this fall, designing prototypes for Vista Lab, which manufactures piping, and for Rad Soap in Albany.

"Some of our staff have a challenging time getting labels wrapped around soap properly. Something like the project that was developed here will help some of my staff to be able to do that, to be able to have that opportunity that otherwise they may not have been able to have," said Josh Willenbrink with Pine Ridge Industries.

Pine Ridge Industries has full and part-time openings and is accepting applications through its website.
