Parts of Erie Canal reopen after heavy rain

Parts of the Erie Canal are opening back up.
Earlier this week, NewsChannel 13 told you the State Canal Corporation shutdown locks E-2 in Waterford to E-19 in Frankfort in Herkimer County. It was due to all the heavy rainfall.
As the locks open, they are advising boaters to be cautious of floating debris from the rainfall.
