Person killed in Schenectady fire

SCHENECTADY – A person has died in a Schenectady fire.
The fire broke out at 1084 Webster St. around 4:45 a.m. Friday. It took about an hour for firefighters to get things under control.
There is no word on a cause.
An autopsy on the victim was taking place on Friday.
Their name hasn’t been released.

Hamilton Elementary School, which is across from the house, was closed Friday because of road closures connected to the fire.
