Pioneer is welcoming its largest-ever class of students for its summer intern program.

The financial institution has 17 interns on-board this summer. They’re a mix of undergrad, law school and MBA students.

They all work across the organization and take part in a series of professional and community development workshops and activities.

In a unique feature of the program, students participate in weekly professional development workshops where they engage with Pioneer’s executive team and board of directors.

This helps them gain insight into the business of banking, project management and more.

All interns participate in an off-site community service day.

Susan Hollister, the Executive VP and Chief Human Resources Officer at Pioneer says, "This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce students to exciting careers in the banking and financial services industry, and to ground them in Pioneer’s commitment to integrity, customer service, and community involvement."

The program also serves as a talent pipeline for Pioneer. Four previous interns have been hired for full-time positions.
