Pittsfield back in COVID red zone for first time since January

The city of Pittsfield is back on the red zone list because COVID cases are on the rise there.

The list is for areas with a high risk for coronavirus transmission.

The city’s 14-day positivity rate is at just over 5%.

Pittsfield has not been classified as a red community since January.

The city’s case rate was twice that of the state average daily rate of 23 per 100,000.
