Poestenkill residents are reaching out to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, demanding answers about PFOA, or Perfluorooctanoic Acid, contamination in their community.

The chemical has been found in the water at many homes in the community.

The state has still not been able to track down the exact source of this most recent contamination.

But the DEC is calling it "Low-level Contamination."

Residents sent a letter on Thursday, asking that those testing results be shared with the community.
