Police chase leads to several charges in Watervliet

A man is facing some serious charges after a police chase through the streets of Watervliet.

Police say Charles Williams took off from them Wednesday morning and led them on a chase – hitting several parked cars.

Police say he then took off on foot, and during his arrest he gave them a fake name.

Investigators say that during a search of his car, they found Williams had an illegal gun on him.

He’s being held in the Albany County Jail.
