Police: East Greenbush teen made up story about needle in candy

Police now say a 14-year-old East Greenbush boy made up a story about finding a needle in his Halloween candy.
The boy told police he found the needle while biting into a Twix bar he got trick-or-treating.
The teen now admits he saw the prank on TikTok and told police he thought it would be funny.
He’s now charged with falsely reporting an incident and was released to probation.
