Police make arrest in Quail Street stabbing

Police say a 23-year-old man has been charged in connection to a stabbing on Quail Street.
Police responded to a call around 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday to a home on Elberon Place for reports of a stabbing. As officials arrived to the scene they found a 23-year-old was stabbed in his abdomen. Their investigation revealed that the 2 men got into a fight near the 200th block of Quail Street when Alelayawi stabbed the other.
The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center where he is fighting for his life.
Following an investigation, Albany Police arrested Mohammed Alelayawi. He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court.
