Police rule Caroga Lake death a suicide

An autopsy has been completed on the body found in the woods in Caroga Lake. The Pathologist, Dr. Sikorika, concluded the manner of death was suicide.

Hunters found the body of the man off of Route 10 in the Town of Caroga. According to the Sheriff’s Department, the man was a New Jersey resident who had been reported missing by his family last week.

Investigators are asking anyone with cameras near Route 10, close to Royal Mountain Ski Center, to check for video of a man with a dark sweatshirt and grey sweatpants. He would have been seen in the afternoon between noon and 4 p.m.
