Police standoff in Wynantskill ends peacefully

A standoff in Rensselaer County that lasted for several hours Wednesday ended peacefully.
North Greenbush police were called to a home on Palladino Lane in Wynantskill around 9:30 a.m. They say there were mental health concerns involving a person in a home with a gun.
After hours of negotiation, police say the person left the house voluntarily around 1 p.m. The individual was taken to Samaritan Hospital for evaluation.
