Power restored at Rensselaer senior housing complex

RENSSELAER – People living in Van Rensselaer Heights senior housing are back in their homes.
NewsChannel 13 told you Tuesday the building was evacuated after it had lost power amid single digit temperatures.
People were taken to the Rensselaer Senior Center.
Power is now restored, and the building was deemed safe for people to return at 10:30 a.m.
CDTA helped bus people back to the building.
Police say National Grid tells them the outage was caused by an underground cable that feeds power to the building.
