Red, White & Gold Day raises thousands of dollars to fight pediatric cancer

Tamarac’s Red, White & Gold Day at the high school raised more than $6,000 in the fight against pediatric cancer on Saturday. The annual fundraiser was created in honor of two Bengals baseball players who are battling cancer. It benefits the Go 4 the Goal Foundation and all levels of baseball and softball played games throughout the day. The baseball team wore special jerseys and the traditional gold laces for the fundraiser. Those two players who have battled cancer, Evan Franz and Joe Carista, took part in the ceremonial first pitch.
