The New York state Republican Party nominated Lee Zeldin Tuesday as their candidate for governor.
His running mate, Alison Esposito, was nominated for lieutenant governor.
Zeldin could still face a primary challenge in June from three other Republican candidates.
Harry Wilson, Rob Astorino and Andrew Giuliani also appeared at the GOP convention on Long Island on Tuesday. They will all have to petition to get on the primary ballot.
