The reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the killing of an 18-year-old woman from Berkshire County in the 1960s has been increased to $15,000.

Berkshire County District Attorney Andrea Harrington made the announcement on the 47th anniversary of the discovery of Kim Benoit’s body.

Benoit was found along the riverbank in the town of Florida. The North Adams teen was reported missing days before.

Harrington hopes the added reward will prompt people to come forward with information.
