Route 7 reopens after major backups caused by Friday evening crashes

Police are investigating after drivers on Route 7 were backed up for hours on Friday evening.
This comes after crashes in both the westbound and eastbound lanes.
NewsChannel 13 is told one involved a dislodged trailer.
This was in the area of the Boght Road Overpass in Colonie.
State police said multiple people went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
