Saint Rose advances on PKs against Jefferson to go to Sweet 16

A Saint Rose goal by Janina Mueller early in the second half was answered by a Jefferson goal late in the game so the Golden Knights used penalty kicks to advance to the Sweeet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Regulation ended tied at 1 and after a scoreless overtime Marika Laurendeau made two huge saves for Saint Rose in penalty kicks. With the Golden Knights up 3-2, Luisa Gaudl scored the kick to send them onto the next round where they’ll play Mercy College in the East Region final in two weeks.
