Groups trying to end homelessness in Saratoga County say the pandemic has provided a silver lining.

The federal government came up with billions of dollars to help homeless people find housing.

$2.5 million is coming to Saratoga County and CAPTAIN Community Human Services is partnering with eight different agencies, including Salvation Army and Shelters of Saratoga to try new approaches to end homelessness.

Wellspring’s Executive Director Maggie Fronk calls the federal money a blessing.

"Housing will not be such an insurmountable obstacle," she said.
