Could putting your lawnmower away for the month of May help save bees and the planet? Sustainable Saratoga thinks so.
It’s promoting “No Mow May” – a national movement where people don’t mow their lawns for one month in order to provide more food for bees and other pollinators.
The group says lawns that remain un-mowed allow more species to grow.
In Saratoga Springs, you are only required to mow in June, July and August.
If you live in a different community, check with your codes department.
