School district warns about posting back to school photos online

The Germantown Central School District has a warning for parents to think before they share back to school photos of their kids.
The district posted this photo on its Facebook page, which looks similar to the many pictures that are circulating on social media as school begins. However, the fun information can put you at risk.
Height, weight, age, hobbies, school name, teachers name, it’s all information that scammers or predators can use to harm you or your child.
The advice to parents? Keep personal information on the internet to a bare minimum.
