Schumer is determined to convince Graves this is the place to invest.

Gov. Kathy Hochul joined them.

Schumer says transforming the Capital Region into a worldwide hub of semiconductor research and manufacturing will be a game changing venture that will create thousands of jobs.

Graves says if we’re serious about American competitiveness, it’s imperative we invest in the semiconductor industry.

Last summer, Schumer brought Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo to town to announce GlobalFoundries’ expansion plans. This announcement doubles down semiconductor growth for the next generation.
