Shooting, stabbing happen with hours of each other in Schenectady

Schenectady detectives are looking into two violent crimes on Monday.

Police say a 39-year-old man was stabbed in the arm around 2:30 Monday afternoon on Albany Street.

The man was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries, then transported to Ellis Hospital for further treatment.

Police say the man is not cooperating with them.

Meanwhile, just before 2 a.m., police say a 33-year-old man was dropped off at Ellis Hospital with what appeared to be a grazing bullet wound to the head. That wound is non-life threatening.

Police say that victim is not cooperating with them either.

No names were released, and no suspects are in custody.
