Six displaced after fire destroys Averill Park home

AVERILL PARK – Six people were left without a home Saturday after their home was destroyed in a fire.
Officials said the flames broke out around 5:30 p.m. at the home on Sheer Road.
The Red Cross is helping the family of two adults and four children ranging in ages of one to eight.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
